Sensor technology seamlessly integrated – optimal measurement directly in the robot structure

Our force and torque sensors merge directly with machine elements or gripping tools, thus becoming an integral component themselves. Thanks to their compact design, pre-calibrated plug-and-play interfaces, and robust protection classes, they can cope with tight installation spaces, changing operating conditions, and high forces in robotics—without any additional installation effort and with maximum process reliability.

Collision detection and force control directly in the robot flange

Our 6-axis force/torque sensors enable reliable collision detectionwithout additional hardware or external measuring modules. The sensor technology is located directly in the robot's flange and detects forces and moments in all six axes. This allows the system to detect deviations in real time and react immediately – for example, by limiting force, automatically stopping, or adaptively readjusting during assembly processes. Thanks to a fully encapsulated design in accordance with IP69K, the measurement data remains stable and reproducible even under oil, chips, and high-pressure cleaning.

High-precision force measurement for medical robotics

In medical robotics, our 6-axis sensors enable precise force measurement even during minimally invasive procedures. They detect microscopic movements and provide direct force feedback, making surgical systems more controllable and safer. Full integration without thermal drift ensures that measurement accuracy is maintained even when ambient temperatures change. Each sensor is validated according to FMEA guidelines and complies with medical documentation requirements—for traceable, auditable system integration in the operating room environment.

Seamless integration into robot flanges, end effectors, and grippers

Our sensors can be integrated directly as plug-and-play components and enable quick and easy commissioning – without any additional adjustments to the robot controller. They fit on ISO flanges, offer minimal height and high measurement density, making them ideal for compact mounting environments and space-critical applications. With 6 axes on one sensor surface, they simultaneously detect forces and moments, enabling precise force control, collision detection, and adaptive motion control. The integrated sensor technology reduces cabling effort and interface risks, while the high measurement resolution reliably detects even the finest movements and forces – for robust, reproducible, and long-term performance in industrial applications.

Electronics connection via EtherCAT, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, CANopen and analog

Our 6-axis force/torque sensors offer flexible connectivity via common industrial interfaces such as EtherCAT, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, CANopen, and analog signals. The sensor electronics deliver precise, low-noise measurement data with a high signal-to-noise ratio, even during fast movements or in vibration-prone environments. Thanks to high sampling rates of up to 20 kHz, dynamic forces and moments are recorded in real time, enabling fast responses in force control, collision detection, and adaptive assembly.

Direct interface integration minimizes latency and hardware costs, while standardized protocols allow for easy integration into existing control systems. Users benefit from stable, reproducible measurements, reliable data transmission, and quick commissioning without costly adjustments or additional signal processing.

Force measurement in six axes – precise. Compact. Integrable.

Our 6D sensors measure all forces and moments (Fx, Fy, Fz, Mx, My, Mz) directly where they occur—on the robot flange, in the gripper, or within the mechanics. Thanks to CAD-based adaptation and calibration in our own DAkkS laboratory, we create solutions that know no compromise.

Electronics integrated directly into the installation space – smart sensor technology for dynamic systems

In robotics, the depth of integration determines precision and response speed. Our sensors combine mechanics and electronics into a compact unit—signal amplification, filtering, and digitization take place directly in the sensor housing.

This saves space in the system, avoids external signal paths, and reduces EMC interference at the source. This is made possible by our expertise in miniaturization and analog signal processing, combined with robust digital interfaces such as CANopen, EtherCAT, or analog ±10V.

The result: ready-to-install, fully integrated force and torque sensors that fit seamlessly into your kinematics—ideal for robot joints, gripper arms, or sensitive end effectors.

Flatest 6D sensor technology for robotics – compact, torsion-resistant, sensitive

Our 6-axis force and torque sensors are optimized for modern robotics applications—whether in assembly, collaborative manufacturing, or laboratory automation.

With extremely flat, FEM-optimized base bodies offering high inherent rigidity, they deliver precise 6D data even in limited installation spaces—ideal for integration into hand axes, tool flanges, or mini grippers.

Made from lightweight titanium or high-strength stainless steel, the sensors impress with minimal cross-sensitivity, high overload reserves, and an excellent weight-to-performance ratio—for dynamic systems where force feedback and precision are crucial.

Technical Highlights – Precision at Every Level

Our sensors deliver noise-stable signals, even with very small forces and moments, and thus meet the requirements of industrial robotics, medical technology, and precision assembly. This is made possible by optimized signal paths and electronics developed entirely in-house, which combine digital interfaces such as CANopen or EtherCAT for seamless system integration with high-precision analog electronics—ideal for applications where every micronewton counts.

This rare expertise in analog signal design enables high sampling rates with a low signal-to-noise ratio. The result: reproducible, calibrated measurement values, documented in our own DAkkS-accredited calibration laboratory, even under the most demanding industrial or surgical conditions.
